Gates of the Arctic National Park poster was designed for an exhibition titled TypeHike to celebrate the centennial of America's National Parks. The exhibition was curated by TypeHike (www.typehike.com) team and National Park Service. Gates of the Arctic National Park is one of the best places to observe the Northern Lights (Aurora), which became the main concept for this poster. The curtain-like super-form in the poster is a visual translation of the Northern Lights. The custom typeface used for this poster was an interpretation of same forms in a typographic manner.
